About Us

Aberdeen Anarchists are an informal non-affiliated group of like-minded individuals who have come together to further anarchism in the city, to develop new networks, to show solidarity and support various causes and activist or union groups.

We reject all forms and systems of domination and discrimination including, but not limited to, patriarchy, racism, and religious fundamentalism.

We embrace the full dignity of all human beings.

We believe in non-hierarchical decision making processes and an organisational philosophy based on decentralisation and autonomy.

    Hi,

I was talking to my cousin who is a member of the Norwich group about what appeared to be a lack of support from Aberdeen university in terms of organising a group to head down to the protests in nov/dec and whilst I deeply regret not making it down it was not possible financially to get down. he was saying that he met you guys whilst he was on the march and put me in contact with you.
Will a bus be heading to the student march on the 29th of jan?

interested to keep in touch with you guys in terms of marches etc especially in terms of counter marches to any EDL/SDL marches.

Look forward to hearing from you soon

    • Im not sure of buses going down for the 29th, I know someone going though so I will aske them. There will definitely be buses going down for the 26th of march trade union council march, which I can let you know about if you are interested. As for the SDL they were tlking about having some kind of event in january of this year in Aberdeen but nothing has materialised so far. Would you like me to add you to our mailing list?

    Hi

I used to live in Aberdeen but now live in Angus. I might be wrong but I believe the group in Aberdeen is probably the closest organised group to me right now. If that is the case I’d like to get involved, where I can.

I’ve been working in the human rights field for a wee while an through that have gained an interest in the anarchist movement. I’m by no means an expert on the subject, far from it, but I would like to get involved to learn more and become involved in the action.

    Cheers.
