‘Battle of the Beanfield’ Anniversary

It’s the 20th Anniversary of Operation Solstice – the state repression of travellers on their way to the Stonehenge Festival – the biggest of the many free festivals in the UK at that time. With the Criminal Justice Bill (sic) coming nearly 10 years later to effectively smash a revived festival scene including another generation are we now left with a poor consumer ‘substitute’….?
