Islamophobes Out of Bristol – Saturday 7th March

The events of Saturday speak for themselves.

Bristol Patriots are N@zis.

They invited N@zis, they talked with N@zis, they shook hands with N@zis.

They are N@zis.

The police protected them, the whole way. The police protected N@zis. Remember that.

The ‘patriots’ would have been f*cked without them.

Having mobilised numerous times before, people showed up in large numbers again ready to oppose the fascists. Organised groups autonomously prepared and planned how to disrupt and block their racist march.

Bristol has done this before, we know how to do it and we’ll do it again.

The people of Bristol stood strong in the face of horse charges, police batons, pepper spray, dogs and more.

Banners were used to stop horses, bins used to block roads and police lines were continually broken.

Eventually the fascists and the police were stopped in their tracks and forced to turn around, tails between their legs.

They quietly shuffled back to the Cenotaph surrounded by police and facing a torrent of abuse from local Bristolians, making it known that they are not welcome here.

This response did not happen in isolation, it comes from militancy we’ve been building in Bristol over the last few years, the radical history of Bristol and the strong communities we have in this city.

Bristol Patriots are done.

Bristol is Antifascist.
