I will describe “Tending the Wild” as an anti-civilization permacultural technique. The technique comes from the knowledge and management of natural resources by the First people of what is now named “America”. I used the term “anti-civilization permaculture” because, i) a lot of the theory and ideas used in permaculture are used in an attempt to “save” or prolong the survival of civilization and therefore is pro civilization. Anti-civilization permaculture is the opposite. Its permaculture techniques for the use of living outside of/ after civilization, and rewilding the individual while rewilding the land.
