Wednesday 17th April London: still hundreds of XR seniors & others on Watetloo Bridge despite numerous arrests, at Oxford Circus and Marble Arch. If not London try Nottingham, Edinburgh or 80 cities in 33 other countries.
Monday 15th April 2019 onwards. Many grandparents and other seniors will take part in the massive actions of Extinction Rebellion (XR) which will be taking place in the UK, mainly in London, but also across a number of other countries.
Come and search out some other seniors: the public often look to us as having a different angle on the issues facing the future. Whether you come
by bike
on foot
or by other means, you will be playing an important part in demanding that the Government takes climate breakdown seriously. Most actions will take place near Parliament, and the bridges nearby. You may be willing to be arrested for obstruction or not. Senior support of any non-violent kind is valued.
You may also want to support young people who take time out of school on various Fridays to protest about the effects of climate change on their future. Seniors should not take over their struggle, but we can support it. Follow youthstrike4climate on Facebook (if you can!).
