Community orchard – volunteers workday at Royate Hill
Jun 3 @ 11:00 am – 4:15 pm

The 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month from 11am to 4pm (or 5pm in summer).  Bi-weekly volunteer workdays at Royate Hill Community Orchard & allotment. Located off Royate Hill, Easton BS5. For background info read this – Royate_history_info

Royate_map&textWear old clothes. We stop for a vegan lunch about 1.30pm and welcome food brought along to share.

The community orchard operates according to permaculture principles (to the best of our ability) – we learn as we go along so come along and learn with us. No experience is necessary!

For more info, other workshops (pruning, grafting etc), group visits etc please contact Mike Feingold on 07768915423.

What if it rains? We keep working in light rain; during heavy showers we retreat to the greenhouse and roundhouse; if rain is continually heavy we abandon the workday as the slippery slopes of the land makes it unsafe.

Imprisoned within inhuman squalor with other women. Paula’s existence and human function is abused as a resource by her captors. Escape, on any level, is hopeless as the women are condemned to a life of enforced servitude at the whims of their imprisoners for one reason only – their milk.
– Written by Ed Pope
Vegan Feminist Horror. The Herd is different from all the other short horror films. It embraces and extenuates not just film making as a craft but also as a moralistic form of story telling. It exists as not just a dark and transgressive horror short it also asks questions as to how we approach the sentience of other beings and the importance of the concept of individual freedom in modern society.
