Kebele Co-Op meeting
Dec 8 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

kebelecommcoopKebele Community Co-op is the formal body that owns & administers the Kebele social centre building. The small group of volunteer co-op members ensure the bills are paid, the building maintained, accounts are kept & filed, the kitchen clean and meeting environmental regs, and so on. To do this they rely on the support of other Kebele volunteers & building users – who are also the ones who run the cafes, put on events (benefit nights, meetings, film showings, organising campaigns etc) and regular workshops (bike workshop, arts group, yoga, Baby Notes etc). The Co-op meets bi-weekly, although the day in the week does change.

Tonights Co-op meet will review the recent NovemberFest, and your input is welcomed – tell us what you thought of it! Be there for 7.30pm sharp (knock on door to get in).

To find out more about Kebele and the Co-op, and our living anarchist experiemnt, have a good read of this website’s posts and OurStory, the Aims/Principles, the Anti-Oppression/Safer Space statement, and check out the various Collectives. The building is also used by a variety of political groups, campaigns & networks.

If you have any queries speak to a co-op member or email kebelesocialcentre[at]riseup.net

Kebele General Meeting
Mar 7 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

The Kebele General Meeting takes place every 2-3 months at the social centre. If you come to/use Kebele you are welcome at this meeting!kebelecommcoopIt is an opportunity for the wider Kebele community and users of the building/facilities to come together to discuss:
– recent decisions by the Community Co-op, any new proposals, and get an update on Kebele’s finances.
– any urgent matters relating to Kebele, be they practical (the loo is leaking!) or political.
– review any recent events at Kebele, and discuss any forthcoming event requests that need wider approval (or not).
– there is sometimes a political discussion for a part of the meeting.

u_r_invitedThe actual Agenda is posted on the wall in the Kebele cafe, and emailed out to our volunteers list. There is usually cake and/or snacks, and hot drinks, available.

Find out more about Kebele – read OurStory. Note that the Kebele social centre is formally owned & managed by Kebele Community Co-op – the GM is an opportunity for the wider Kebele community to hold the Co-op to account, find out more about Kebele, discuss any urgent and/or relevant issues, and volunteer to help with ongoing matters (cleaning, maintenance, cafes, outreach etc) and at any upcoming events. So get involved! New volunteers wishing to become Co-Op members are always welcome!!!
