Not so fantastic plastic

On 24 July 2019, at 7:30 pm at Digby Memorial Hall, Digby Road, Sherborne (DT9 3NL), Professor Andrea Russell of Southampton University will be hosting a talk on the issue of plastic pollution, titled, ‘not so fantastic plastic.’

There’s no entry fee for the talk, but a donation of £2.00 is recommended.

Everyone’s welcome, and as well as discussing the problem there will be an opportunity to explore what we can all do to tackle plastic pollution.

Drop by if you can. You’ll find a warm welcome.

Milborne Port litter pick

It’s time to clear the plastic from Milborne Port’s streets. On Saturday 6 July, 2019, a litter pick has been organised by Milborne Port Parish Council, Plastic free Milborne Port, and South West in Bloom.

Bags and safety equipment will be provided, and maps given out on the day. This is a chance to produce a better environment for everybody, to protect wildlife, and to prevent the dangerous breakdown of plastics in our community.

If you would like to participate please come to East Street Car Park, DT9 5DG, at 10.00 am on July 6 2019.
