Under the Pavement – a radio show for vegan anarchists!

A radio show run by a team of four vegan anarchists – you must be kidding! Under the Pavement is broadcast every Thursday from 11am-1pm on ALL FM 96.9, a community radio station for south, central and east Manchester.
David, Spike, Lauren and Cubesville and has been broadcasting for over eight years. The show brings you regular guests and interviews, what’s on guides and reports on direct action and grass roots resistance in the Manchester area. The music is an alternative/ leftfield eclectic playlist covering punk, folk, experimental, indie, hip hop, electronica and pop

On tonight’s show my old mate Max Watson will be interviewed about Friday’s meeting on AR activist Jill Phipps, who died in 1995 campaigning against live exports. This is taking place at 7.00pm on Friday 29th August at Subrosa, 27 Lloyd Street South, Moss Side, M14 7HS and will feature a showing of Jill’s Film by ex-ALF prisoner John Curtin, who will talk about the film and his friendship with Jill. He will also be available for questions.

The recent passing away of Jill’s mother, Nancy Phipps, who was a lifelong campaigner, ex-ALF activist and prisoner marks the end of an era. This is an important time for others to learn the story of Jill and her Mum, two amazing and compassionate people who have inspired many.
