Manchester & Salford Anarchist Bookfair 2014 will take place on Saturday 29th November from 10.00am until 4.00pm at the People’s History Museum, Left Bank, off Bridge Street, Spinningfields, Manchester M3 3ER.
Stallholders will include: Active Distribution, AK Press, Feminist Fightback, Green & Black Cross Manchester, Haven Distribution, Liverpool Class Action, Manchester Animal Action, Manchester Hunt Sabs, News from Nowhere Radical & Community Bookshop, Radical Routes and Subrosa Manchester Social Centre.
There will be talks and workshops in three different rooms throughout the day. Amongst others there will be: An introduction to Anarchism, Anarcha-feminism, the Campaign Opposing Police Surveillance, It’s all just human nature, innit!?, Zapatistas against dispossession: the four wheels of capitalism, and Intersectionality.
Last year was my first time and I enjoyed it so much I’ll definitely be there on Saturday. Much smaller than the London Bookfair, naturally, but with a more relaxed vibe and the People’s History Museum is worth a visit in its own right.
