On Tuesday 15th, Bristol City Council will be debating cuts to “The Bush”, a respite centre for autistic children. This is after being forced to talk about it by a petition from Bristol Unite Community branch, after the mayor refused to debate his decision to halve the number of beds available. We can win this if we keep up the pressure – there have been protests for two months running, including one at the Mayors place of business as well as at the last two council meetings. So we’ll be joining Unite Community on the 15th, please get your friends and contacts down too!
Full details will be announced on the campaign’s facebook page nearer the date, but the debate will start at 7pm in The Grace Room of the Gloucestershire County Club, BS7 9EJ. The meeting itself starts at 6pm and there will probably be a rally outside just before.
