The following details some of the deportations that we know Air France KLM have been involved in. This is only a very very small percentage; the actual number is far higher.

2018

18-01-18: Violent deportation on Air France flight from Paris to Kinshaha, despite protests from several passengers who were taken off the plane by riot police. More info (in French) here.

2016

07-09-16: Sékouba Marega violently assaulted at Roissy (CDG) airport during deportation attempt on Air France Flight AF386 from Paris to Bamako. Luckily the deportation failed when, after cries from Sékouba and then resistance from passengers, the pilot ordered him to be taken off the plane. More info (in French) here.

18-07-16: A man was due to be deported from the Netherlands to Togo, via Paris. Activists called and contacted KLM online to protest against the deportation. The man was flown to Paris, but when the plane landed he protested, saying that he still had an ongoing asylum procedure. The pilot therefore decided he should be taken off the plane, and a French judge then ruled he should be returned to the Netherlands. More info (in Dutch) here.

2015

23-12-15: 22-year-old Khaira Barakat, a Yezidi asylum seeker who was 5 months pregnant, deported to Romania. Her husband remained in the Nethelands as he had a resident permit.

05-01-15: Afghani Feda Amiri deported from Schiphol after 18 years in the the Netherlands. Family and friends protested at Schiphol. There is an interview with his daughter here. Dutch newspaper Trouw obtained reports from the Marechaussee confirming that Feda was put in a ‘body cuff’ prior to deportation.

2014

17-09-14: Deportion from Schiphol to Luanda (Angola). 17 Marechaussee involved in the deportation. More details here.

19-02-14: Deportation from Schiphol to Paris Charles de Gaulle. Then deported to Guinea. Full story here.

2013

23-05-13: Iranian hunger striker deported to Rome.

09-04-13:  Family deported to Afghanistan.

2012

07-07-12: Man deported from Brussels Zaventum via Schiphol to Kabul on KLM.

2002

30-12-02: Ricardo Barrientos died on Air France flight AF 416 after trying to resist deportation from France to Argentina.

1998

18-09-98: Young woman deported from Schiphol to Lagos. Read an eye-witness report here.
