Welcome to the Cooney club – Aberdeen’s Virtual Social centre.
This is a new web site we hope will encourage activist groups to move away from corporate tax avoiding media providers to activist run services. We have included a forum with chat facilities and a library for video’s and PDF’s. We also have an event calendar and a rolling blog.
It will also hopefully provide a central point for local groups to advertise there meetings and events.
The web site is continually morphing and adding new features. This isn’t Google groups or Facebook, nor will it ever be. Some new skills may need to be learnt to use its functions fully. We will have skill share events plus instructions on how to get the best from the site soon. Please get in touch if we can be of any help!
To kick start please email us (absc@riseup.net) with any events, regular meeting times or blog posts and we will up load them for you.
The library and forum will require you to log in and create a user.
We have used activist run web services for all of our projects where possible.
