Came across these Skateboard Special magazine/papers from 1977/78.
It’s interesting to look at them because they are from issue 1 to issue 22.
They start off monthly and progress to fortnightly, I’m guessing because the skate scene kicked off and content required it plus you can see the progression in advertising from the first issue to the last, which I’m guessing means the industry started to flourish. You can also get an insight into the social issues that affected skating and skaters at the time with reference to slogans like “Don’t let them ban the board”.
