Some people are absolute idiots!

It’s not as if it was the only place that got attacked. Look at where else got trashed, join the dots and then see the bigger picture. It explains itself really so only an absolute idiot would ask why it was attacked.

Cereal Killer Cafe wrote on Twitter: “Unhappy with the state of the country? Why not attack a small business ” – Well because you are part of the process of gentrification you idiot(s). Are you not?

Keery said: “The staff were absolutely terrified. It was an angry mob throwing paint at the windows.” –Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!

“They had torches and pigs’ heads.” – The pigs’ heads are made of latex you tool!

James Ball on Twitter: “1,000s of empty homes thanks to billionaire offshore buyers; richest 0.1% dodging tax as non-doms, but obvs a cereal cafe is the real issue.” – Because gentrification is not an issue at all!

John Sargeant on Twitter: “More effective protest would have been giving out free cereal to the poor in the neighbourhood” – It would be good to have both!

Willard Foxton (Appropriate surname eh?) on Twitter: “Cereal cafe attacked, but leave Goldman Sachs yeah?” – They are both part of the same beast and do you think it is as easy to just go an attack Goldman Sachs? It’s a fucking huge building and besides, Goldman Sachs are in the City, Cereal Killer is right in the middle of what is fast becoming less of a working-class neighbourhood (And Cereal Killer is contributing to that).

Dave Hill on Twitter: “Further evidence that some anti-gentrification protesters are as nasty as they are clueless” – Yeah because after all who would anti-gentrification protestors attack other than gentrifying businesses such as Cereal Killers and the estate agents? I think a certain someone has shown his clueless colours.

Chris Ward on Twitter: “A bunch of clueless cunts have decided to destroy hardworking businesses because they’ve decided something unrelated is unfair. ” – Whilst hard working working-class locals are pushed out because of places like Cereal Killer and the estate agents? Where is your moralisation when it comes to sky high rents caused by property speculation, landlords and gentrifying businesses? “Unrelated”, so are you denying the link between gentrifying businesses and gentrification?

Pete Paphides on Twitter: “I’m not sure that the mark-up on, say, a margarita pizza is any greater than the mark-up on a bowl of cereal in the cereal cafe.” – So you can not see the difference in the mark up between a pizza for say £3-£4 (Or in some places less) and a box of cereal for £5? Shake your head mate!

JeSuisZaynRand on Twitter: “The impossible achieved, made me feel sympathy for the cereal cafe. Well done, “Class War”, you bunch of idiots. ” – You obviously did not have that much animosity to begin with so pull the other one!

Max Tundra on Twitter: “Was never a fan of that cereal cafe, but it sure ain’t The Problem.” – You are right, it is not “the problem” but it is part of the problem so it can not be ignored! “Where were tonight’s rioting plonkers when Sweets Way was being emptied?” – A lot of them were joining in the actions on Sweets Way, where were you?

Penny Creed on Twitter: “Not sure I understand why anti-gentrification protesters are targeting small independent businesses ” – If you do not understand that then you have no idea of what gentrification is.

The Crude on Twitter: “Anyway I am off to smash up a Aldi as I am disgusted I would have to pay £1:95 for bog roll. ” – There is a huge difference between buying bog roll for a reasonable price and cereal (Which is basic and cheap sustenance) for a fiver when you can buy a whole single box for less than that!

Captain Soulless on Twitter: “oh they are trending they are still hipster douchebags but they did not deserve to have their business trashed by protestors” – Yes, they really do deserve it!

Greg Jenner on Twitter: “I’m likely wrong, but I see no difference in charging £3 for Frosties and Starbucks £3 for coffee. Both cheaper made at home?” – I agree, both are shit though. However a single bowl for £3 is a massive piss take when you can get two whole boxes from ASDA for the same price. (http://groceries.asda.com/product/family-cereals/kelloggs-frosties/35810)

Huffington Post sums it up well with “The Cereal Cafe opened last year following a trend of novelty cafes in the capital, and has been a rather divisive venture with many questioning how somewhere can charge £4 for a bowl in an area where child poverty is 49%.
