JA: Other Jouissance and Becoming-Woman

Lacan declared the Marxist students simply “wanted another master”, which is totally true! Is this not exactly the Marxist take on Hegel? That we want the Proletariat to be the Master? After all, that’s why it’s called the Dictatorship of the Proletariat. In order to bring about the liberation, and emancipation of the Proletariat, it must abolish itself.

I want to make three claims here: 1. Everyone is an accelerationist

2. Accelerationism has never happened.

3. Marxism is nothing if it is not accelerationist”

This is also part of the essence of all Deleuzo-Guattarian ‘becoming-‘. 

Based on Lacanian sexuation, all becoming is through becoming-woman. It is in this sense that the liberation of the proletariat is partially through psychosis. This is the claim of Deleuze & Guattari’s Capitalism And Schizophrenia; Anti-Œdipus and A Thousand Plateaus. 

Although all becomings are already molecular, including becoming-woman, it must be said that all becomings begin with and pass through becoming-woman. It is the key to all the other becomings.”

Our Marxist Master (or at least one of them) is gattungswesen, Species-Being.  In Lacanian terms, our Master is the Other Jouissance.

And in Deleuzo-Guattarian terms: Becoming-Woman. 

The Master who embodies the logic of the non-all, who exists as a surplus which can be grasped. Which is to say Becoming-Woman, who for Lacan, does not exist, in the same way the Other does not exist. This self-abolishing Master, be it the Psychotic or the Woman, is what Deleuze & Guattari refer to as the ‘Schizo’. The schizo follows the abolitionist logic, as does Marx for the Proletariat and Lacan for the Subject/Other.

Deleuze & Guattari combine these abolitionist projects to convey Marxism through schizoanalysis, based on their critiques of both Marxism and Psychoanalysis:

In a strikingly similar style to Slavoj Žižek, Deleuze & Guattari use psychoanalysis to revive Marxism. Žižek preferring to return to Hegel, Guattari wanting to move away from Lacan.

D&G argue on the side of the Woman, the Psychotic, the Schizo. They remark that whilst the logic of schizophrenia is inherent to Capitalism, it is also our way out.
