Prison reading group postponed

Unfortunately, due to heavy workloads, the prison reading group is being postponed.
There is no new date worked out yet, but this will happen soon hopefully.
Watch this space for details.

[This is the beginning of what we hope to be a monthly reading group and letter writing event, discussing a different essay or chapter of a book each time. We hope to include prisoners in this discussion and share our thoughts, so we will be posting texts beforehand to have their comments in time for the meeting. If you know any prisoners who might be interested please get in touch.
Hopefully it will be a friendly and social evening, with a strictly non-academic group chat about what we’ve read and anything else related to prisons that we’ve been thinking about lately. We hope people will come who are not totally sure what their position is on prison abolition is as well as those with strong opinions!
We also hope to spend some of the evening writing letters and signing cards for prisoners while we are there. Please also bring hot and cold snacks and drinks to share!
In future we might include a film screening, as well as or instead of reading texts together.]
