Judith Sambrook refused to complete her census form in protest at the involvement of weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin in processing census data. She has been charged and will appear at Wrexham Magistrates Court on 11th November at 10.30am, which happens to be Remembrance Day. Judith, a single parent from Shrewsbury who is on dialysis three days a week, plans to continue her resistance by refusing to pay any fine imposed and is prepared to go to prison if necessary.
ASSEMBLE 10am OUTSIDE WREXHAM MAGISTRATES COURT on FRIDAY 11 NOVEMBER.
Demonstrate
- against war, weapons manufacturers and the arms trade, and against Lockheed Martin in particular

Please forward to Judith Sambrook.
Thousands upon thousands of Canadians did not comply with the census because of Lockheed Martin. We stand firmly beside you.
I am going to invite OCCUPY groups to salute you. We are all fighting for a just world. War mongers and profiteers are nothing more than murderers. They operate far outside the rule of law. But in the end, we are responsible for the hatred they create because we are the ones who, through taxes, put up the money to make their weapons possible. No more. Thank-you Judith Sambrook. You are a leader. We are taking back our power through the actions of the many leaders in our midst. Best wishes. May it go well.
Dear Sandra
Thank you so much for your messages of solidarity and would you thank everyone who contributed- their words mean so much.
I believe, with this court case, how there are some very basic human rights at stake here. Should I eventually be found guilty, it would, in effect say the state has a right to come between a person and their conscience, regardless of the issue. This is not about me- this is about protecting our basic human rights, so we in turn can cherish the rights of others – it is that simple.
Our right to protest, to show dissent has been gained over centuries of struggle, ever since ordinary people thought, said, shouted, joined with others to say ‘ No, this I shall never accept’ and we must continue. Look at the brave and heroic actions of the Occupy movement, look to The Chartists, the Suffragettes, the ecology movement, the NUM, the Jarrow Marchers in 1936 and in 2011, look to you and to me, look to everyone else who has ever said – ‘ No’. We stand on the shoulders of giants. Also finally, this, my favourite quote -In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act – so , let us continue with that revolutionary act.
In solidarity,
Judith Sambrook – NoConCensus
