London Anarchist Black Cross open meeting
We are a small group and are already getting stuff done. Imagine what we could do with more of us! At the moment we focus on getting post to prisoners and encouraging letter writing amongst others with stalls, workshops and propaganda. This is enough work for the few (and we mean few!) people who are involved.
We are having an open meeting to encourage people we may have excluded with our lack of meetings, as well as others who realise that prisoner support is vital to sustainable communities, whether they are protest, activist or just communities that are criminalised.
Coming to the meeting and getting involved doesn’t mean just writing letters. There are tonnes of things that could be done to make London ABC all the more effective, and they don’t all need constant involvement with the group.
Things to be discussed and organised
– fundraising & merchandise
– a prison demo happening next month
– making this blog fancier
– plans for the reading group
– general day-to-day running of ABC (including more open meetings)
– occasional help with fliers, posters and newsletters.
