It ain’t half racist mum…

poster2

The above poster has been seen in a number of locations on the U.K. transport network. There is the completely absurd notion that somehow if you are wearing a large coat (oooooo, scary!) then you are a terrorist. Winter must be a pain in the arse for the pigs. Then there is the very obvious racist imagery straight from the Idiot’s Guide to Textbook Antisemitic Tropes.

It also spreads unfounded and baseless fear and suspicion among the general populace.

The following article from the Daily Blackshirt‘s London supplement, the Evening Standard, contains the story: http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/posters-for-new-police-antiterror-initiative-on-trains-spark-racism-row-a3385836.html

People have appealed for the Department of Transport (DoT) and the pigs to have them taken down and to no one’s surprise they have denied any racist intentions and played down the imagery. The DoT and the pigs refused to have them taken down but we do not need them to take them down, we can deal with them ourselves so use your imagination (I think you catch my meaning). Be creative.

Subvertising is a good one for people who wish to be less ‘robust’.

The following is an article from the Independent on Subvertising: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/art/features/brandalism-street-artists-hijack-billboards-for-subvertising-campaign-7953151.html

In a climate of increasing racist vilification and imagery, such as depicting refugees as rats, this MUST NOT BE TOLERATED!
