SSL certificates

Domain mapping and certificates

Because network23 promotes the use of https for security reasons, if you map your domain to network23 you will get a warning saying this connection is untrusted. This is because our certificate only works by default for sites that are in the network23.org domain.

To resolve this, you will need to contact the n23 team to get an SSL certificate generated and set up for you. When you do this, please let the team know which hostnames (website addresses) you’d like to use for your site, and which you’d like as your default. For example, we use https://network23.org and https://www.network23.org, with the first one as the default, meaning that all URLs are automatically rewritten to be https://network23.org at the beginning.

Whilst you wait to get things working, you can add an exception in your browser, or, in WordPress domain mapping set-up, simply use the default blog URL of https://network23.org/
