This is the month in which much of “the West” went into lockdown and physical distance as a way to deal with a pandemic.
There were reports that in that closed network that spies on every one, whether we belong to it or not, and is only accessible by selling your soul and friends, there was a debate on whether to actively promote the mass being cancelled this month as some attempted to for the last couple of months
The mass itself aims to gather at 6.30 though rarely leaves before 7 (or is it 7.30 some times?)
This month, and probably other months too, some people are inviting each other to a pre-drink or just gathering:
Meet at Bernie Spain Gardens for a drink from 17.30pm and join Critical mass later on.
Upper Ground, SE1 9NW London, United Kingdom
from the list:
Perhaps only five hundred people turned up this July, two or three sound systems. Good sound systems. Many put off by the day’s constant rain, others were away. As usual for a July-August ride there were quite a few joining for the first time, often tourists.

IN the meantime, Dave is building a sound system for Critical Mass. More in part 2.

Druid Cycles is coming with an improved more noisy sound system to the CM on Friday. We have an issue, we did also experienced in the past. The Mass is riding fast, sometimes splitting into 3 or more sections and our sound system is unable to catch up and we have to pull out and go home early. Maybe this message will reach a few riders and it would be nice, to ride with a less fast ride, which stays together for the lengths of the ride.
London Critical Mass will be 20 years old this April 25th.
6pm under Waterloo Bridge. South Bank. Come and join the party.
The following is a conversation that happened on the facebook page, for the benefit of those outside that enclosed space.
CM is sponsored by Blacks Outdoors so they hand round free rain ponchos. If it snows we get arctic survival gear.
You get wet… and enjoy it
Will you buy one? Feel free to comment.
