Wow, It was all fun and games until I read that ASUPD’s have police aides with Masters Degrees. You have got to be freaking kidding me. I understand that competetion is stiff and rigious these days, but for crying out loud that usually applies to recruit positions! What the hell is going on here, we have to get more information out to the public and media ASAP! The department needs to go through thorough house cleaning, only then will it be able to start anew and regain a good standing reputation in arizona. What a joke!

    • ThySummons says:

Arizonan480, in contrast, what is more freaking interesting is that we have a commander in charge of police operations at the Polytechnic campus PD that merely possesses a GED!

He was, of course, handpicked by the ex-chief, John Pickens, to assume a command position because he was in total alignment with Pickens’ deleterious methods of operation.

    • Farewell says:

Commander William Orr is no longer assigned to the Polytechnic campus; he’s assigned to the Downtown Phoenix campus.

Love what your doing and if there’s anything a former asu pd employee who left of their own volition can do, please don`t hesitate to ask. As I understand it, the brass and Crows flunkies are doing their best to “investigate” all the claims here but we all know that will do nothing without the backing of an outside organization such as AZPost or DPS or even the feds. Have you considered filing a class action suite on behalf of all patrol members, PO and PA, who worked in hostile conditions as well as were exposed to an unnecessary amount of risk due to the excessively low staffing numbers put forward by asu pd command? If nothing else this would have the very real ability to bring this department and all the failings of its brass into a national spotlight in a very big way.

Your posts provide a better insight into the ASU PD. While I understand that there are two sides to each story; I also believe that members, officers, as well as representatives would not go out of their way in mass, to make such reportings and complaints. I urge you to spread your forum and the information contained in it, to future LEOs per the http://forums.officer.com/ website. I have already posted about the police department, which contains a link to your site. Keep the reports coming guys. Thank you very much.
